Official says Russia needs consumer lending restrictions
MOSCOW, Sep 8 (PRIME) -- A limit on consumer lending would allow Russia to recover more effectively, presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin said at the Moscow Financial Forum on Wednesday.
"Consumer lending restrictions could give us more room for monetary-credit policies, other types of lending and would allow the economy to solve the existing problems more effectively," Oreshkin said.
The central bank started to cool unsecured lending in July.
